 Cancellation Policy & Guidelines

Regular and consistent treatment plays a critical role in therapy progress; although consistent attendance is expected, we understand extenuating circumstances may result in patients or therapists needing to cancel sessions from time-to-time.


     Contacting Us

  • While we appreciate your efforts to let your therapist know of any changes to your schedule, all changes regarding your therapy schedule, such as vacations, cancelations, make-up sessions, late arrival etc. must also be directly communicated with our front desk staff as soon as possible: 760-747-1275

     Non-Emergency Cancellations

  • If you need to cancel an appointment, please call us at least 24 hours in advance to notify us and to avoid a late cancellation fee. If you need to cancel an appointment, it is imperative to call us as soon as possible. Voice messages can be left on our voicemail 24 hours a day, 7 days a week: 760-747-1275.

  • KENEKS Therapy reserves the right to assess a $45.00 cancellation fee for "non-emergency" cancellations with less than 24 hour notice. 


       Emergency Cancellations

  • In the event of a last minute emergency it is imperative to notify the clinic as soon as possible on the day of the appointment.

  • Emergency cancellations due to illness: Conducting sessions during an illness is not beneficial all around, it is important to rest and/or seek medical treatment. Please cancel your session if concerning medical symptoms are present (i.e. fever within the last 24 hours, wet cough, diarrhea, vomiting, strep, or any contagious illnesses).


  • Likewise, if your therapist has a family emergency, or experiencing any of the symptoms above, their situation will be communicated with you as soon as possible.


       Late Arrival

  • ​​Each scheduled appointment time is reserved especially for you. Please arrive on time for your therapy session. If you are late, the session cannot be extended to accommodate your late arrival.


  • Please call our office in case of a late arrival (10 minutes or more) after your scheduled session, your therapist may not be available to see you.


       Ongoing Weekly Sessions

  • Due to high demand and limited availability, patients who miss more than 50% of their standing appointments in one month will be removed from their ongoing weekly scheduled sessions.  Treatment sessions may be moved to an “on call” basis subject to availability, until consistent attendance is possible.

  • We are here to fully support you, please communicate with our front office staff and we will do our best to change your session to a time that works better for your family.


       No Call/No Show Fees

  • Patients who fail to show to their scheduled appointment, and do not notify the office prior to their scheduled appointment time, will be charged a “No Call/No Show” fee of $45.00. 

  • Please note, if our office is not able to reach you after you “No Call/No Show” to your appointment, or if you don’t reach out to us, you will be automatically taken off your ongoing standing weekly appointment.

         Make-up Sessions

  • Make-up sessions may be scheduled for canceled sessions. Times for make-up sessions must be mutually agreed upon by the parent(s)/caregiver(s) and your therapist.
